Notch outlines Windows 8 with it’s Minecraft

Windows 8 isn’t even out yet and there are already few unsatisfied developers like Gabe from Valve and Markus Notch from MOJANG team, which created our favorite game on all platforms, Windows and Mac OS, Minecraft.

Thing about Notch’s lines from the earlier week about Windows 8 is that he says it without any backup up his rage words we can cal it, as he said he would be more pleased if Minecraft didn’t run on Windows 8 at all than running poorly. Why did he say that and what motivated him ? Probably not Inventory editor or TFC mod manager, but an email from Microsoft who asked him to make it compatible for Windows eight (8). His response to the email was stop ruining PC as an open platform and by that he means the Metro version of it, which has only one kind of closed store in eyes of open developers.

After porting it to Xbox 360, Android and iOS i don’t see why would there be a problem porting it over to Windows 8 as something we players really need, cause we hate to see Minecraft not being able on everything and all the mods we want.

Minecraft Inventory Editor INVEDIT

Have you ever heard of NBTedit ? If you have than you have some kind of idea what is an INVedit, it is kind of an successor to the NBTedit, an Minecraft inventory Editor.

If you are an server host, which is good for you, you can than use it to edit your inventory both singleplayer and multiplayer.  Here are some of the features of this neat program or app, what ever you like to call it.

  • Add, edit and remove enchantments on items.
It is possible to give any item any enchantment with any level.
  • Edit books. This includes title, author, content and whether it’s “signed”.
  • Loads blocks and items from the enclosed files.
This means anyone is able to update INVedit themselves, add items from mods, etc.
  • Groups for faster access of individual blocks.

That’s what an original creator of it says anyway, the way it supports itself is through donation system, after downloading and checking out if it works why not donate to the developer, just like mod devs earn for their bread with their work which we all love and download.

Minecraft – Pocket Edition gets an update

While most of us enjoy playing Minecraft on PC’s and consoles (Xbox 360) some people just don’t like to leave Minecraft world so they go on their smartphone and play right in the game. Mobile version of this world open world game doesn’t really have mods, with which one we use Mod Loader but it’s still great experience.

More elements from the core game have been added. Chests, food and beds are now included in a latest major update for this version of the game, which costs around 5 dollars or free on Android. More than 20 bugs have been fixed and now you can enjoy even more the whole experience when you are on your way to work or going home and relaxing while building some farms in front of your house.

We all remember how was an alpha version of original PC game, it didn’t even have half of the stuff it has now, and it’s working fine right now, so is it possible to see something like that on a mobile version too, will it grow out even more and we won’t call it a secondary minecraft or just an pocket edition which you can play if you don’t have an access to your game on computer.

Xbox 360 and Minecraft goes big

Minecraft has been on Xbox for quite a while, but in this week we witnessed a pretty big number, it’s only been months since Minecraft came out on XBA download and it already has 3,6 million downloads. Remember, this is an indie game from and indie developer which makes it even bigger story than it already is. We could say Notch’s dream came true and from now on he is working on another game, called scrolls. We can already kind of see a new genre coming in video game industry, something like Crafting since there are so many games now out there which don’t copy Minecraft but kind of take is as an inspiration for their own games, like Terraria and Castle Crushers which we are looking forward to play in beta release.

After a one hour huge debut in XBLA and overall 7 million PC sales this is something to look up to and take as an example how to succes in gaming, not only video game industry but as a business man, like Notch who now leads Mojang team and soon we won’t be looking them as an indie developers that’s for sure. TFC mod manager, an app or a program depends about your taste of calling this kind of stuff is something we also look forward too, the more popular minecraft is more popular are all 3rd party apps for it.

Olympics in Minecraft ? Awesome

It’s been a while since Olympics in London, the 2012 Olympics but for Minecraft nothing is late, as you know player often create unique worlds, mostly with the help of TFC mod manager, or sometimes called Mod Loader and this time users on PC created an Olympics world, in which you have mining, swimming, running, archery and many other sports from this years London.

Players from Awesome Video Games servers get theirs thrones, also their anthems are being played out on the Live Show, it depends will you choose a team or you choose to represent your country, like on guy did, Japan and he won at sprinting also climbing is something really fun to watch for sure, has many surprises. You gotta love what players make of this world with just some blocks, coal and diamonds.

Earning XP is also important in this games, even if the server isn’t updated yet to 1.3 xp is still important, even if you don’t get it from everywhere, like mining red coal or other fancy stuff which gives you blocks to connect.
